Polo Ralph Lauren

Launched in 1967 'Polo Ralph Lauren' was Ralph Lauren’s first complete line of sportswear and tailored clothing. At the age of 28, Ralph Lauren started to sell neckties under the label 'Polo' under the Empire State Building. It wasn't until 1971 when Ralph Lauren introduced the iconic 'Polo Pony logo'. Then, in 1974, Ralph Lauren outfitted the entire male cast of the film 'The Great Gatsby' in costumes chosen from his Polo line. It wasn't until 1983 when Lauren opened his New York City men's flagship store. The brand itself reflects a distinctive American perspective. Polo Ralph Lauren has always had a considerable influence in the way people dress, and the way fashion is advertised and celebrated throughout the world.
